When there is no TV or internet in the evening, every member of your group will surely want a drink.

We prepared a list of our favorite campfire games for adults, that you can play around the campfire as well. You can plan these games in advance and bring props with you on your trip, or try to get creative and use anything you can find in nature.

10 Fun Drinking Games

We have put together a list of the best campfire games ideas that you can play with your adult friends.

In any case, it will be a blast if you’re with the right people. Here are our picks:

#1: Beer Pong

Beer pong is a classic drinking game that everyone knows about and has played. In the circumstances of camping, campfire beer pong can only be funnier and more rugged.

Set up a picnic table with a few solo cups of beer that are stacked in a pyramid shape. Then, let the first person aim and shoot at one cup of beer. When they hit it, drink the whole cup.

If the conditions don’t allow it, you can play this fun drinking game inside the tent too. Also, you can set up teams of two, or use water in the cups for a cleaner game. Just don’t forget to bring a ping pong ball with you!

No one likes a hot beer, and being in the wilderness limits the options for refrigerating your beverage. Anyways, there are creative ways to keep your beer cold while camping in the wilderness, so be sure to check it out.

#2: Alphabet Game

This classic game has made a comeback from Middle school and is back as a drinking game. The alphabet game is supposed to test your memory as well as geography skills.

One person kicks off the alphabet game with a city that starts with the letter “A”. The next person then has to name a city that starts with the letter “B” and so on.

Therefore, the game would go like this: “Athens – Berlin – Chicago…”. When you can’t think of a city name or mess the game up, you have to take a shot.

#3: Truth or Dare

This classic party game can be played on your camping trip, too. Sit in a circle and twist a beer bottle, the people it lands on have to ask each other “Truth or dare?”.

If one person does not want to answer their question or do their task, they drink up. So, if you plan on taking part in this drinking game, you are surely in for a lot of laughs. Especially considering the number of drinks involved.

#4: Never Have I Ever

Never have I ever is one of those drinking games everyone tried out sometime, most probably during high school. Through this game, you will get to know your friends better and enjoy the funny moments.

The first person states a fact or action, and the other players drink if that particular thing happened to them. If that is not the case, they skip and don’t drink. Remember to stay honest, even if it might be embarrassing.

#5: Drink Drink Shot

This drinking game is a blast from the past, it’s a fun spin of the children’s game “Duck Duck Goose”. The first player goes around and taps people who take a sip. Then, they randomly choose the “shot”, who then races them around for their seat or place.

If the first person gets caught, they take a shot. But if they steal the seat, the other player takes a shot and has to race in the next round.

#6: Camping Words

Choose in advance which words will be your camping words, like a tent, hike, sleeping bag, etc. Once a person says this word during their conversations, they have to take a shot.

This fun play continues throughout the day, making it one of the longest campfire games out there. It can extend even onto the next camping trip too!

#7: Two Truths and a Lie

We play this fun game in bars, clubs, and dorms, but it is one of our most beloved outdoor drinking games as well.

One person states two truths about themselves and one lie. The other players then try to guess which statement was a lie. If they guess wrong, they take a shot or drink of their alcoholic beverage.

#8: Drunk Race

This is a 21+ version of the dizzy race, where players can divide into two teams. Then, only one person from each team spins around in a circle and races the other contestant to a specific point.

The whole losing team takes a shot and keeps the same team member as their racer, while the winning team chooses another racer.

#9: Flip Cup

Flip cup is on the list of our fun games for camping as well. For this popular drinking game, you will need two teams, each team consisting of at least three team members.

Place red solo cups on each side of a picnic table and fill them with beer or other beverage of choice. Opposing members of each team chug their beer and “flip cup” at the same time, or place the red solo cup upside down and try to flip it into the right position as soon as possible.

As soon as they do it, the next person drinks and so on. The game continues until all the beer is drunk and all the cups are flipped.

#10: Most Likely

Most likely is a verbal game for quiet evenings around the campfire, where players guess what each member of the party is most likely to do.

One player states something like “Who is most likely to forget their tent?”. On the count of three, the rest of the players should point at the person they think is most likely to do so. The person with the most fingers pointing at them, drinks.
